HIP HOP: This popular dance derived from street dance is a highly expressive rhythmic form set to popular contemporary music. Leotards, tights, black jazz shoes, bike shorts or jazz pants.
LYRICAL/CONTEMPORARY: Lyrical/Contemporary dance is a style that merges ballet and jazz and is usually performed to current music with expression. This is an emotional style of dance that enables the dancer to tell a story through movement.
JAZZ: Experience this popular form of expression energized by rhythmic movement. Leotards, tights, black jazz shoes.
TAP: A form of dance in which the rhythm is sounded out by clicking the taps on the heels and toes of a dancer's shoes. Leotards, tights and black tap shoes.
Ballet: A formal style of movement that has established terminology and sets of exercises incorporated into barre and center work. Leotard, tights, and ballet shoes.
Hip Hop Poms: This class is fun and energetic mix of half hip hop and half poms. The poms section will focus on arm placement and form, pom/cheer entrances and exits, cheers and beginning stunts. We will work on rhythms, counting the music and choreographing.
